01Who we are

Exposed Schools of Photography runs photography courses at three schools — Bedfordshire, Kent and Cornwall. This policy covers this website and everything we do with the information you give us.

02What we collect

• When you book — your name, email address, telephone number, the course and school you chose, and any access or medical information you choose to tell us so we can teach you safely.
• When you enquire — your name, email address and what you asked.
• When you pay — the payment is handled by our payment provider. We are told that it succeeded and what it was for. We never see or store your card number.
• When you use the site — the technical information any web server records, used to keep the site working and secure.

03Why we hold it

To administer your booking, to teach you safely, to answer you when you get in touch, and to meet our accounting obligations. If you have opted in, we also use your email address to tell you about courses and club events. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anybody for their own marketing.

04How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for six years, because tax law requires it. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after two years. Marketing consent lasts until you withdraw it.

05Who else sees it

Only the people who need it: the tutor teaching your course, our web host, our email provider and our payment provider. Each is bound to handle it only on our instructions.

06Photographs

We photograph courses, and pictures may be used on this site or in our marketing. If you would rather not appear, tell your tutor at any point and we will not use them. Photographs you take on a course remain entirely yours.

07Your rights

• Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
• Have anything inaccurate corrected.
• Have your details deleted, where we are not required to keep them.
• Withdraw marketing consent at any time — every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and asking us directly works just as well.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we have got it wrong. We would rather you told us first.

08Cookies

This site sets the cookies it needs to remember which school you are browsing and to keep you signed in to your dashboard. It does not carry advertising trackers.
