Who it is for

Level 1 first

This one builds on it rather than repeating it

Our Level 2 course builds upon the foundation established in Level 1, elevating the expected standard of work. You will engage in a variety of short projects designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, enhancing your understanding of your camera and various techniques.

Course Entry Requirements

It is essential to have covered Level 1 before enrolling on Level 2.

During the course we cover

Extending the use and knowledge of your camera
Manual Shooting, Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority
A further look into composition
Producing and presenting a project of images
Storytelling in your images

Throughout the course, we teach these photographic techniques in loosely themed informal projects that allow you to express your creativity and understanding of photography without having to produce any formal or written coursework/exams.

Further study

Progress to the unique and rare opportunity of the Level 3 course.

Whatever is putting you off,
it probably shouldn't

Any camera at all

Phone, point and shoot, an old DSLR from the loft. All of it works. Nobody will ask what lens you own.

In the room, not on a screen

Every session is taught in person, so a tutor can look at your camera, in your hands, and fix it there and then. No videos to work through on your own.

Teenagers to retirement

Most arrive on their own and leave with friends. Under 16s are welcome too, dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian, who is welcome to stay for the session.

Support does not stop

Message, call or video call whenever you are stuck, during the course and long after it has finished.
